Founder & Chief Consultant
Marilyn Garza, MA, is a U.S. Army Veteran with a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She has been married for over 20 years to Joe Garza, a U.S. Marine Veteran. Together, they founded 85th Legacy Family Consulting to share their faith in families and support the Veteran and first responder community. Marilyn is passionate about helping her fellow service members and first responders build strong family relationships and successful marriages.

Our passion lies in helping Veterans and First Responders navigate the complexities of life during and after service.
Ray Pina II
Director of Strategic Advisory Initiatives
Ray Pina Jr. is a retired Detective with 18 years of distinguished service as a First Responder. A dedicated public servant and family man, Ray is deeply committed to the well-being of his fellow first responders. He now serves as the Director of Strategic Advisory for 85th Legacy Family Consulting, LLC, where he provides leadership, guidance, and advocacy for the unique needs of first responders and their families. Grounded in his faith, Ray continues his life’s mission to ensure that those who serve on the front lines receive the care, respect, and support they deserve.
